Winners of The American Prize for Chamber Music Performance in 2021, contemporary chamber music group Ensemble for These Times (E4TT) consists of award-winning soprano, Artistic Executive Director and co-founder Nanette McGuinness, cellist Abigail Monroe, pianist Margaret Halbig and American Prize winner, composer, Senior Artistic Advisor and co-founder David Garner, as well as regular guest artists.
In 2023/24, soprano Chelsea Hollow,
english hornist Laura Reynolds, violinist Jennifer Redondas,
cellist Megan Chartier, percussionist Elizabeth Clark Hall, and pianists Taylor Chan and emerita pianist Dale Tsang will join E4TT as guests in the groups's exciting 16th season (viewable online and in-person). The group also produces the podcast, "For Good Measure," conversations with underrepresented creative voices.
E4TT focuses on 20th and 21st century music that is relevant, engaging, original, and compelling, music that resonates today and will speak to tomorrow, and strongly believes in the power of artistic beauty, intelligence, wit, lyricism, and irony to create a deep understanding of our times and the human condition.
Ensemble for These Times is a fiscally-sponsored affiliate of InterMusic SF, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to small-ensemble music in the San Francisco Bay Area.
